How many times do you start orientation with a new female client and when you suggest weight training the first words are "I won't train with weights - I'll get too big. I'll bulk up."
How do you explain and overcome this concern?
Here is an article on About.com that explains it well:

Strong is beautiful. Bone density is important! Our Marketing Director, Shelley Greeves, loves to do full Olympic Front squats - 4 sets, 15 reps, higher weight. She knows this will kick start her metabolism, build strong bones and she doesn't get HUGE. Tell us what steps you take with your clients to work on lifting more weights. We'd love to hear it.
How about easing them into it? You could start with giving them a quick, maybe 7-minute, workout for their core and just let them work to failure. Once they build up some endurance, you could suggest that weights can help cut their workout time in half. Once they see that they don't have to "bulk up" with weights, you can then suggest they use weights for other body parts.
